Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ɛfie mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Sibyl Systems ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Ɛfie, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Account registration

To access certain features of Ɛfie, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscription and payment

Ɛfie offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable subscription fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.

  • Free: Access to core features at no cost.
  • Monthly: $9.99 per month with full feature access.
  • Annual: $39.99 per year with full feature access (save 67%).
  • Lifetime: $119.99 one-time payment for permanent full access.

Refund requests are handled according to the policies of the applicable app store platform. We do not process payments directly; all payment data is managed by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other user accounts, computer systems, or networks through the Services.
  • Interfere with or disrupt server infrastructure or networks connected to the Services.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application.
  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Services without authorisation.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without written permission.

5. Intellectual property

The Services and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, audio, and software) are owned by Sibyl Systems and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or trade dress without prior written consent.

6. User content

To the extent you submit any content through the Services (such as feedback, recordings, or profile information), you grant Sibyl Systems a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, and process that content for the purpose of providing and improving the Services. You retain ownership of your content and are solely responsible for its accuracy and legality.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Language learning outcomes depend on individual effort and consistency; we do not guarantee any particular level of fluency or proficiency.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sibyl Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sibyl Systems and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
